Scott Suppes AHC

CEO & President

Scott obtained his AHC (Architectural Hardware Consultant) national designation in 1992 after several years apprenticing with CP Distributors in Saskatoon.  In 1998 he became the Calgary Branch Manager, in-charge of sales, fabrication, coordination and shipping departments for the Calgary branch.

In 2000, Scott left CP Distributors to pursue other business interests as the General Manager of The United Group in Saskatoon.  In 2004, Scott returned to CP Distributors as part of a buy-out of his father's interest in the company and became the new CEO and President.

Scott, if not on a plane somewhere, can be seen curling and on the odd golf course. Both he and his spouse, Laurie, can be found volunteering at a host of many charitable or political events.

Gerald Haller CA

VP Finance & Administration

Gerald joined CP in 1998 as the controller. He graduated from University of Saskatchewan in 1986 and obtained his CA designation in 1989. He worked over 10 years in public accounting and another 5 in the fertilizer and chemical industry. In 2004 he became an owner of the company.

Responsibilities today include insurance, bonding, banking and relationships with all stakeholders. Questions regarding human resources and talent management can be directed his way.

Rob Grant

Vice President, Director of Central Project Team

Rob Grant was given the opportunity to join CP Distributors in May of 1993 as a Junior Estimator. After a few years in this role Rob was promoted to Contract Sales Estimating Manager and sat in that chair for a number of years. In January 2005, Rob took over as the Edmonton Branch Manager and held this position for 4 years and then in the spring of 2009 was appointed VP of Operations. Some of
the key responsibilities in this role include: managing operations for all 6 branches, involvement in branch sales and capital budgets, supplier relations. In February 2012, Rob was given the opportunity to become a minority owner / stakeholder within CP Distributors.

Prior to joining CP, Rob was enrolled in the Business Administration / Marketing Program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Rob’s working career started at Canadian Forestry Equipment where he worked as a Purchaser and then leaped into the construction industry / building materials game as an Estimator for RW Architectural Sales.

Although Rob was born and raised in Edmonton, he along with his wife Terri-Lynn and son Liam now call St Albert, Alberta home. Rob and Terri have been married since 1997 and Liam was born in 2006.The Grant clan enjoys travelling and spending as much time outside in the summer with activities such as golf, soccer and enjoying the back yard.


Wayne Molengraaf

Vice President

Wayne Molengraaf has been kicking around the Building Materials Distribution industry for over 22 years. He joined CP Distributors in April of 2009 as our Edmonton Branch Manager and February 2012 become a stakeholder in the company he now calls home. In the decade previous to joining CP Distributors Wayne was a GeneralManager for CanWel Building Materials and Overhead Door Co. of
Edmonton. Over that time Wayne was charged with full P and L responsibilities for 7 separate branches whose annual revenues
exceeded 110 million dollars.

Wayne's business philosophy is simple: "Year over year profitable growth of a branch or business unit is based on firm attention to market trends and analysis and an operational excellence which has a foundation built on the right people in the right place following soundprocesses, policies, and procedures."

Wayne earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English fromthe University of Alberta in 1991. He continues to hold an affinity for the written word and still enjoys relaxing on the couch with a good book with his wife, Dana, of twenty plus years.

On the weekend you can find Wayne coaching one of his communities' indoor or outdoor soccer teams or cheering on his two daughters at gymnastics, swimming, volleyball, piano, and /or skating.
